Abstract

This paper deals with axial flux permanent magnet generator with extended functionality which allows to control magnetic flux to change output voltage and stabilize external characteristics of generator. A mathematical model of electrical machine in the coordinate system (d-q) was obtained to simulate transients and external characteristics in Matlab Simulink. An experimental generator was designed, manufactured and tested.
