Abstract

In China, the research and development of IN has been approved as a project in the area of Telecommunication of "The High Technology Research and Development Program of China" by the State Science and Technology Commission in June 1993. Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) has been involved in this "863-IN-project" mainly and a series IN systems (CIN01, CIN02) have been developed (1993-1996). This paper presents a description of the national Intelligent Network architecture, an implementation approach for Intelligent Network interworking, and a Chinese version of UPT service.
