Abstract

Massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems hold the potential to achieve high spectral efficiencies in future wireless systems. As the number of antennas of the base station (BS) increases, downlink channel quantization for frequency division duplex (FDD) based systems becomes difficult, and most of the works on massive MIMO assume time division duplexing (TDD) to sidestep these challenges by employing channel reciprocity.
