Inter-Tier Interference Coordination in Massive-MIMO System based on Statistical Channel Information 基于信道统计信息的大规模mimo系统层间干扰协调

We study the interference coordination in massive-MIMO heterogeneous network. In this scene, macro-users (MUEs) are distributed in clusters and pico-cells are separated from MUEs. There exists the inter-tier interference and it is hard to implement interference coordination since the instantaneous channel state information (CSI) between macro-base station (MBS) and pico-users (PUEs) is hard to obtain. In this circumstance, we propose a two-tier precoding method based on the statistical CSI between MBS and pico-base station (PBS) with the minimum mean square error (MMSE) criterion to form deeper nulling for pico-cells close to MBS. In our method, the outer precoder is designed to mitigate the inter-cluster and the inter-tier interference, and the inner precoder aims to suppress the intra-cluster interference. Simulation results show that our statistical CSI based on the MMSE precoding scheme could mitigate the inter-tier interference efficiently in channels with small spatial angular spread. The proposed method could achieve better throughput than other precoding methods for PUEs close to MBS.

Soft-output MIMO detector for MMSE receiver with channel estimation error 具有信道估计误差的MMSE接收机软输出MIMO检测器

This paper considers the effect of channel estimation error (CEE) on the soft-output bit log-likelihood ratio (LLR) in a MIMO detection system, which the source sends the quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) to the detector through Rayleigh fading channel. The new expression for the LLR is obtained for MMSE receiver using known pilot-symbol-aided channel estimation. Meanwhile, the optimal method for power allocation between training and data transmission, which is based on BER, is obtained under the total system transmitting power constraints. Numerical results show that the power allocation ratio sets to be 0.5 approximately is optimal. Moreover, the proposed LLR detector outperforms the conventional system without the consideration of channel estimation error. Meanwhile, the system performance which we have proposed is better than the existing research with the consideration of channel estimation.

Design and implementation of SDN/IP hybrid space information network prototype SDN/IP混合空间信息网络原型的设计与实现

Software Defined Networking (SDN) promises to ease design, operation and management of communication networks. For years, however, most networks have been designed, deployed and managed as IP-based systems. It is necessary to introduce SDN in IP backbones to construct SDN/IP hybrid space information network. In this paper, we design and implement a new architecture of the SDN/IP hybrid space information network. It helps to achieve a collaborative management between the IP network and the SDN network through the model. So, in space information network, we can use traditional IP-based system in ground internet and use centralized SDN in satellite network. By combining Quagga and SDN controller, the entire flexible centralized SDN network is abstracted as a traditional distributed control IP router. Thus, the SDN controller can get routing tables from Quagga and forward routing protocol packets over the network. At the same time, other IP subnet can be aware of the existing SDN subnet, and its location. We designed our SDN/IP hybrid network prototype combining the POX as the controller and the Mininet for topology construction, all with OpenFlow 1.0 support. And results show that we achieve the interconnection between SDN and IP subnets efficiently.

QoS guaranteed resource allocation with content caching in SDN enabled mobile networks 在支持SDN的移动网络中使用内容缓存实现QoS保证的资源分配

Soft Defined Network (SDN) and content caching are believed as two promising technologies in the future Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture of mobile communication system. Taking advantages of SDN enabled RAN architecture, we propose a QoS guaranteed resource allocation scheme with content caching. To evaluate the performance of content caching in RAN, we choose the effective capacity as the metric to convert the service latency into user data rate. Then we formulate the maximum of total effective capacity as the optimization problem. To make the problem more tractable, we simplify the original one and convert it to a convex problem solving with the subgradient method. Finally, simulation results are provided to demonstrate performance gain of the proposed scheme with content caching in SDN enabled mobile networks.

A realistic algorithm design of 128-antenna prototype for massive MIMO 大规模MIMO中128天线原型的现实算法设计

Massive MIMO is a promising technology and a strong candidate for future-generation wireless systems. This paper describes some aspects of realistic algorithm design of a 128-antenna prototype, including low-complexity algorithms and feasible designs such as equivalent channel acquisition at the BS by SRS, SINR estimation at the BS, CQI estimation at the UE, DMRS design and IRC receiver implementation, etc. Finally, the link-level simulation shows the effectiveness and benefits of the proposed algorithms and designs.

Raptor-based file delivery protocol for satellite-CDNs (RFDPS) 基于猛禽的卫星cdn文件传输协议(RFDPS)

This paper describes a new reliable transport protocol designed to run on the integrated satellite-terrestrial content delivery network (S-CDN) to multicast files over a wide geographical area. The motivation for this work is to make the satellite multicast system scalable under different packet loss rates with reliability ensured and throughput maintained. Current multicast protocols mainly study the terrestrial communications. They often use packet-based NACK messages to request retransmissions of lost packets, but the feedback overhead scales up sharply when the packet loss rate is large. Other schemes that proactively multicast FEC packets results in unfair redundancy among the receivers with different packet loss rates. We propose a Raptor-based file delivery protocol for satellite-CDNs (RFDPS). The novelty lies in that RFDPS is a joint FEC and feedback protocol, and supports block-based feedback and cooperative transmissions both through satellite multicast and terrestrial unicast. We analyze the retransmission strategy when considering the delivery cost, and propose a simplified method to estimate the optimal number of multicast packet for the retransmission strategy. The prototype of RFDPS is designed, and is evaluated on the OPNET platform in terms of throughput and feedback overhead. Simulation results show the significant performance gain of the proposed protocol. And our simplified estimation method is verified to be effective.

The rationality analysis of massive MIMO virtual measurement at 3.5 GHz 3.5 GHz频段大规模MIMO虚拟测量的合理性分析

So far, a large amount of the massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) measurement campaigns are carried on by the virtual method (move a single antenna and measure at predefined positions, and then form the multiple antennas in the analysis), since the massive MIMO measurement needs hundreds of antennas, which cost is high and have a lot of difficulties in the implementation. However, to the author's knowledge, there are few investigations to validate the rationality of the virtual measurement. In this paper, we move a 32-element uniform planar array (UPA) on a 2D surface to form a virtual 256-element UPA, and compare its characteristics with the practical MIMO measurement in time and spatial domain, to analyze the rationality of massive MIMO virtual measurement. By the contrast analysis, the feasibility and reasonability of the virtual measurement has been proved.

HOSVD-based limited feedback and precoding design for massive MIMO systems 基于hosvd的大规模MIMO系统有限反馈与预编码设计

Massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems hold the potential to achieve high spectral efficiencies in future wireless systems. As the number of antennas of the base station (BS) increases, downlink channel quantization for frequency division duplex (FDD) based systems becomes difficult, and most of the works on massive MIMO assume time division duplexing (TDD) to sidestep these challenges by employing channel reciprocity. In this paper, we propose to apply the higher-order singular value decomposition (HOSVD) of the MIMO channel matrix and design a new limited feedback and precoding scheme, which aims at solving the problem of high dimensionality led by large antenna array. The proposed scheme can reduce the complexity of channel quantization, the number of bits for feedback and the computational complexity of precoding matrix. Simulation results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed scheme is nearly the same with the singular value decomposition (SVD) based scheme in single-user MIMO and block diagonalization zero-forcing scheme in multi-user MIMO when using quantized channel feedback.

Low complexity antenna grouping for energy efficiency maximization in massive MIMO systems 大规模多输入多输出(MIMO)系统中实现能效最大化的低复杂度天线分组

In this paper, we investigate antenna grouping for energy efficiency maximization in the downlink of multiuser massive MIMO systems. We construct an antenna grouping system model which partitions large-scale transmit antenna array into fixed-size groups. Beamforming is used within each group and spatial multiplexing between groups is considered. Diversity gain is then achieved by beamforming, and multiplexing gain by spatial multiplexing. System capacity and power consumption are analyzed, based on which the impact of the number of active transmit antennas per group is studied. A low complexity algorithm for finding the optimal number of active transmit antennas in each group is proposed based on binary search. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme significantly improves the energy efficiency of the system, and there exists optimal value of the number of the active transmit antennas per group in the fixed-size grouping model that maximized the energy efficiency.

Concentrator placement for SDN-based smart power communication systems 基于sdn的智能电力通信系统的集中器放置

Due to the large coverage of the smart grid, the reliability and stability of the communication system becomes increasingly crucial. Therefore, the concentrators are used as the relay points to transmit the data between smart meters and the control center in the stability and cost-efficient way. This paper investigates the problem of placement of concentrators in smart grid communication system. The specific constraints are that concentrators are to be located on utility poles and communication link between smart meters and concentrators is done over power line communication (PLC). While the proposed optimization problem is an integer program, we develop the genetic algorithm to solve the concentrators placement problem. Three scenarios indicate our proposal is an efficiency method for concentrator placement in smart grid communication system.
