Abstract
Although software architecture plays an important role in maintaining extra-functional properties of an Information System (IS), its choice is essentially based on skill and past experiences of its designers. This paper takes position in favor of an appraisal of a software wizard for architecture definition of IS. Analysis and design tools exist in a sparse way and tackle only partially the problems faced by IS architects.
