Abstract

This paper discusses a novel packet routing network architecture using bufferless routers. Two routing control methods, ldquoan extended routing table methodrdquo and ldquoa coordinate routing methodrdquo, are proposed and evaluated for their feasibility for next generation high-throughput optical networks.
