Abstract

The day-ahead optimal dispatch for independent community microgrid (ICMG) is studied in this paper. The ICMGs are those power grids in underdeveloped countries usually cannot be connected to traditional high-voltage power networks, at the same time, there are always plenty of renewable energy in those grids, while the grid are with small or medium scales. Special characteristics for ICMG are analyzed in detail in this paper, then a dynamic programming model of day-ahead optimal dispatch is introduced for ICMG, in which load fulfillment, stochastic behavior of load and renewable energy as well as the importance of generation cost are considered seriously.
