Abstract

A flexible dry ECG patch for continuous heart rate variablity monitoring is presented in this paper. A flexible dry ECG patch with a polymide substrate was designed. The hardware compromises of an ECG front end, an ultra low power controller for wireless Bluetooth data transmission and a power management block. The ECG electrodes were also fabricated on the flip-side of the same polymide substrate. The electrodes were screen printed on the flexible polymide substrate using carbon ink.
