Abstract
After the coiled tubing operation, there will always be substances such as mud, sand or acid adhered to the inner wall of the coiled tube. Flushing after the last operation of the coiled tube does not achieve an optimum cleaning effect, and the liquid remaining on the inner wall of the coiled tube causes the burst below 0°C. In order to reduce the weight of the operation vehicle and to extend coiled tube's service life, it is necessary to add a draining process after flushing. Therefore, the model established in this study is based on the use of rubber plunger interferenced fit in the coiled tube, which promoted by the high pressure gas. Using ansys nonlinear analysis of the contact process to extract the contact pressure. There are three parameter considered: the interference between the rubber plunger and the pipe, the thickness of the rubber plunger and the differential pressure.
