Using modern spectral estimation one can achieve higher velocity resolution than with the conventional spectral estimation. Abstract
To improve the low velocity resolution of a VSAR (velocity SAR) system and detect slowly moving targets with a VSAR system, modern spectral estimation in the signal processing of the VSAR system is used instead of the conventional DFT (discrete Fourier transform) method.
