Abstract

Most common dieses in human body are related to heart and its functioning at older age. Electrocardiogram (ECG) is the most important of all modern diagnosis tools for detection of heart related issues in a subject. The technique of noninvasive ECG analysis is applicable to almost all kinds of heart related problems. This paper aims to review and compare various techniques of R peak detection in ECG feature extraction. The various techniques suggested by different researchers are compared using standard MIT-BIH ECG data. The results obtained are compared for Sensitivity and Positive Predictive Accuracy as quality factors.
