Existing and proposed new models of assessment of the state of the forest fund by remote sensing methods are investigated, on the basis of which a field is built, where each region is assigned a certain set of characteristics. The analysis of the constructed field allows us to identify critical areas (fire, deadwood, cutting) that correspond to the state of the assessed surface. Abstract
The paper considers the main tasks related to the assessment of the state of the forest fund.
