Abstract

This paper aims mainly to analyze the organicity between the crisis of the public university and that of its teachers, to understand its effect on the social function of both. From the historical-dialectical materialist theoretical framework, the authors emphasize that the epistemological option can theoretically be associated to the maintenance of social control, or its resistance, by justifying intentions and goals placed on education.
