Abstract

-There are many variations to the theme of an antenna coupled with a high frequency rectifier (rectenna). A single diode approach is widely preferred for half-wave rectifying devices for rectennas because of its low loss and cost. However, this approach uses only half of the intercepted wave, unlike a full-wave bridge rectifier. On the other hand, a bridge rectifier is more lossy and expensive.
