Abstract
We consider the synthesis problem of an antenna array, which consists of thin wire radiators, through the given amplitude directivity pattern (DP) taking into account the mutual coupling of radiators and the vector character of the electromagnetic field. The regularization functional, which regards the mean-square deviations of components of the synthesis and the given magnitudes, and the limitation on the norm of extrinsic currents, is used as a criterion of optimization. The numerical solution of the synthesis problem is reduced to finding solutions of the nonlinear system of algebraic equations. In the iterative process we implement an implicit scheme of the successive approximation method. The analysis problem is reduced to a system of linear integral Poklington type equations. The example of the synthesis of an antenna array with conical two-arm spiral radiators is presented.
