Application of FDTD to dispersive media FDTD在色散介质中的应用

A finite difference time domain (FDTD) method in combination with the perfectly matched layer (PML) is used for dispersive media. The FDTD method is derived using the convolution relationship between the current density J and the electric field E. The high accuracy of the FDTD method is confirmed by computing the reflection and transmission coefficients for a one dimensional nonmagnetized plasma slab.

Irregular dispersion and evolution equations of a quasi-homogeneous structure 准齐次结构的不规则色散与演化方程

For a laterally inhomogeneous dielectric layer, the dispersion equations and laws of the irregular dynamics of the spectra near the Morse critical point (MCP) are reported. This knowledge permits the square-law representation and furnishes the local equations of the time-space evolution of the wave-oscillation fields.

Calculation of eigenvalues of homogeneous problems of generalized eigenoscillation for the body of revolution using the finite element method 用有限元法计算公转体广义本征振荡齐次问题的本征值

The generalized method of eigenoscillations generates the nonselfjoint homogeneous boundary value problems containing a spectral parameter in the boundary conditions. One of the ways for solving such problems is the variational technique. For the body of revolution such a technique is developed by Voitovich (1980) and described by Agranovich and Katsenelenbaum, Sivov, and Voitovich (see WILEY-VCH, Verlag, Berlin, 1999). Here the finite element method is used with a stationary functional of the method, which is applied to an investigation of resonators with impedance walls. The problem for the axially symmetrical harmonics of the closed resonator is considered and the main features of the method are described. The method is illustrated on a test problem for a resonator in the form of a finite circle cylinder with impedance side surfaces and metallic borders.

Analysis of rectangular-cell double-periodic magneto-dielectric gratings 矩形单元双周期磁介质光栅的分析

The problem of electromagnetic wave scattering by a double-periodic grating is solved by a new method based on the rigorous volume integro-differential equations. The Galerkin method is applied to reduce these volume integro-differential equations to a set of second-order differential ones with constant coefficients in functionals. Numerical solutions were obtained for the simplest double-periodic magneto-dielectric rectangular-cell grating as an example of a structure with translational symmetry.

The problem of plane electromagnetic wave diffraction by multielement grating which is embedded in a half-space is considered. A system of singular integral equations is obtained by satisfying the necessary boundary conditions. A system of linear algebraic equation is obtained as a result of applying of special quadratures to the initial integral equations system.

Quasi-stationary approximation of electromagnetic energy spreading in a locally inhomogeneous conductive halfspace 电磁能在局部非均匀导电半空间中传播的准平稳近似

The quasi-stationary approximation of the process of electromagnetic energy spreading in a halfspace is considered. Conductivity of the medium is a continuous function which is constant everywhere excepting for a finite domain of arbitrary shape. Using the fundamental solution of non-stationary diffusion equation, the projection method and the time marching scheme of the sole initial condition, we construct the system of integral correlations to find the components of electric field strength vector in an arbitrary halfspace point in any moment of time through its components in an inhomogeneity domain.

Applying the invariant approximations to the analysis of electromagnetic fields 将不变逼近法应用于电磁场分析

This report deals with the elaboration of general algorithms for constructing discrete analogies of differential boundary-value electromagnetic problems by means of the finite-difference method and the theory of invariant function approximation. The obtained analogies are invariant according to the group of linear transformations of the Cartesian co-ordinate system, conservative and independent from the configuration of boundary and contact surfaces. They are characterized by the prescribed order of accuracy.

The system of wireless networks design is intended to search for the optimal location of the base stations on the ground or in a building is represented. The system enables one to create, edit and to delete objects (houses, if it is the plan of the district or walls, windows and doors, if it is the plan of a building) with a wide spectrum of parameters (dielectric constant, permeability and conductivity). Besides that, the system permits one to introduce the given parameters of the transmitter and to calculate the complex amplitude of an electromagnetic field taking into account the waves incident, reflected, or transmitted through obstacles and the refracted rays by using the geometrical theory of diffraction. It is also possible to calculate the channel impulse and frequency responses and the average delay time.

Accurate modeling of open-ended coaxial sensor by non-uniform FDTD method 开放式同轴传感器的非均匀时域有限差分法精确建模

The open-ended coaxial sensor is modeled by a non-uniform FDTD method. Such sensors are used for complex permittivity measurements in the MHz-GHz frequency range. The accuracy of the measurements depend greatly on the accuracy of the reflection coefficient computation. The non-uniform grid makes it possible to use very fine discretization in the critical area where the open-end of the coax is attached to the sample. The method can be used to calculate the reflection coefficient for very thin samples.
