Abstract

This paper describes a multibeam antenna system which produces transmit and receive beams simultaneously using multiple-feed-per-beam (MFPB) scheme. Compared with the current widely used mutibeam antenna with more than two apertures, the proposed antenna configuration required only one main reflector aperture. Combined with a frequency selective sub-reflector (FSSR), a transmit feed array and a receive feed array, this antenna system can produce equalized beams to cover the desired area.
