Abstract

The increasing IP based service such as IP video, IP voice as well as high speed internet, leads to an evolution of current transport network to packet transport network (PTN). Nowadays, using the Generic Framing Procedure, the main transport network is based on Muti-Service Transport Plat (MSTP), which foreshows that there would be a time for the combination of the two networks. By introducing the implement of transporting SDH traffic by PTN, this paper analyses the Operation Administration Maintenance(OAM) message, which enhance the traffic management along with operation in the combined network. This paper also describes the strategy in detail on implementation processes, key points, relations of each participants and etc.
