Abstract

To take full advantage of the complementary nature of multi-type energy storage and maximally increase the capability of tracking the scheduled PV power output, a charging-discharging control strategy combining Fuzzy-Model Predictive Control (FMPC) and Variational Mode Decomposition (VMD) for a energy storage system (ESS) is proposed.
