Abstract
With the increasing demand for the use of automatic instruments, the detection of instrument accuracy is also indispensable. The traditional manual verification to complete the detection of power instruments is inefficient and gradually unable to meet the demand. During the automatic verification of power meters, it is necessary to use a monocular camera to collect and process the pictures of the meters, obtain the verification data and store them into the database, thereby achieving the acquisition of the meter readings. In this paper, we introduce a reading recognition method for digital multimeter. For the character recognition of the digital tube, a number can be divided into seven parts numbered 1--7, and the number can be obtained by sequentially identifying the seven parts and then comparing the results with the data table. In this way, the proposed method can quickly recognize the reading of digital multimeter.
