Abstract
In order to protect fruits, preharvest bagging is usually used for fruit growth including apples, peaches, grapes and pears. Characteristic and performance of the fruit bag used for the preharvest bagging have an important role to improve quality of the fruits. Effects of preharvest bagging have been studied by surveying postharvested fruits. However, studies on the inner-bag environment including temperature and humidity have been hardly studied during fruit growing so far. In this paper, it is proposed to measure temperature and humidity inside different fruit bags to clarify difference of the bags. Targeting at pears ‘Le Lectier’, a small sensing logger is used to carry out the measurement for three different types of bags. Based on 130 days continuous measurement, the difference of the bags are figured and visualized.
