Abstract

One of the prioritized issues for studying the third generation mobile systems such as FPLMTS (Future Public Land Mobile Telecommunication Systems) is the evolutionary path from the second generation PLMN (Public Land Mobile Network) to the future telecommunications mobile networks. This paper presents one set of examples for the evolution scenarios based on the Unified Functional Model (UFM) for B-ISDN CS-3 developed by ITU-T SG11.
