Discussion on Approaches to Top-level Design of Cultural Work in Chinese Mainland Universities

Abstract

: As cultural units, universities play a key role in cultural work. They should undertake their responsibility to pass on and innovate culture and help the social thoughts. Therefore, it’s necessary to complete the top-level design of university cultural work by comprehensively considering national conditions, social conditions, and university conditions. The paper analyzed the current cultural work in Chinese mainland universities from the degree of recognition, degree of integration, collaboration and coordination, and feedback and evaluation. It rationalized the necessity of top-level design for university cultural work and suggested enhancing the top-level design through making a comprehensive plan from the perspective of the university, setting up a department to implement, establishing a mechanism to mobilize the whole university, and improving the feedback system.
