Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theater as an outpost of European culture on Asian territory

Abstract

В статье изучается деятельность Приморской сцены Мариинского театра в контексте позиционирования Владивостока как коммуникативной площадки России и стран Азиатско-Тихокеанского региона (АТР). Цель данного исследования- выявление и обобщение особенностей стратегии деятельности театра оперы и балета в формировании кросс-культурной коммуникации на дальневосточной окраине страны.Среди исследовательских задач - определение наиболее характерных примет межкультурного вектора функционирования театра, изучение творческих связей дальневосточных музыкантов с коллегами из стран АТР, определение стратегической концепции Международного Дальневосточного фестиваля «Мариинский» The article examines the activity of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theater in the context of positioning Vladivostok as a communicative platform for Russia and the APR countries. The main purpose of this study is to identify and summarize the features of the strategy of Opera and Ballet Theatre’s activity in forming the cross-cultural communication in the Far Eastern edge of the country.Research tasks include the definition of the most characteristic features of the cross- cultural vector of the functioning of the Theatre, the studying of creative connectionsbetween Far Eastern musicians and colleagues from the Asia-Pacific countries, the definition of the strategic concept of the International Mariinsky Far East Festival
