Abstract
For the last two decades, data driven cities have emerged as an efficient way of improving the city performance, enhancing life quality, and providing more choices to city planners and decision makers. A significant change in data driven cities in recent years is that much more data are collected from a variety of sources and can be processed into various forms for different stakeholders. The availability of a large amount of data can potentially lead to a revolution in city development, changing the city operation system from a conventional technology-driven system into a more powerful multifunctional data-driven intelligent system. But with more data collected the more questions raised about the optimization and space saving methods, then the quality of data collected and the efficiency of the its treatment. In this paper, we provide a survey on the data driven cities requirements, and the tools made available for the responsive cities to maintain its data.
