Under a transformation to streamline coordinates, it is possible to generalise Rapid Distortion Theory results, applied to sheared flow, to include a developing flow. This allows inclusion of large geometrical effects, for example a thick aerofoil, to high-frequency acoustic disturbances. These ideas are developed by considering a shear flow passing over a protrusion from a wall, and extended to include the effect of a trailing-edge.","PeriodicalId":429337,"journal":{"name":"2018 AIAA/CEAS Aeroacoustics Conference","volume":"2021 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0000,"publicationDate":"2018-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":"3","resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":null,"PeriodicalName":"2018 AIAA/CEAS Aeroacoustics Conference","FirstCategoryId":"1085","ListUrlMain":"https://doi.org/10.2514/6.2018-2810","RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":null,"ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":null,"EPubDate":"","PubModel":"","JCR":"","JCRName":"","Score":null,"Total":0}
