The impedance distribution at the individual sub-arrays is optimized to suppress the effects of corporate feed radiation and to achieve the required low sidelobe level (~20dB). Conventional planar feed design exhibited a distorted radiation pattern with second sidelobe level shooting upto -14dB. The proposed approach reduces the second sidelobe level and maintains nearly Gaussian tapered radiation pattern over the angle. Abstract
