To investigate the situation and risk factors of outpatients with stroke at a large general hospital. Method. Outpatients aged 35 years or more between March 2012 and December 2012, are randomly chosen to receive an epidemiology questionnaire survey. Result. Of the total of 511 patients who are investigated this time, 249 patients are male and 262 patients are female, of which there are 35 patients with stroke, accounting for 6.9%; there are 8 TIA patients, accounting for 1.6%; there are 308 patients who lack physical exercise, accounting for 60.3%; 236 patients are overweight, accounting for 46.2%; there are 193 hypertensive patients, accounting for 37.8%; there are 172 high-risk stroke individuals, accounting for 33.7%; and 53 patients are middle-risk persons, accounting for 10.4%.
