Naturally, in the conditions of autonomous functioning of the Russian and Serbian languages, the analyzed changes occurred, including semantic shifts, which gradually differentiated two once similar languages. From a theoretical point of view, it is important to trace the evolutionary processes of the two languages, which will make it possible to determine the concept of the formation of the analyzed languages on the basis of their functioning in previous eras. Abstract

The article is devoted to the consideration of the national character of the Russian and Serbian peoples, the description of the ethnopsycholinguistic portrait of the Serbian youth studying Russian as a foreign language.
