The generated wind power is always changing due to its time varying nature and producing stability problem. The power quality improvement is essential with the newer generation load equipment's, their performance is very sensitive to power quality disturbances especially with voltage sag, Harmonics and voltage recovery after fault. The power electronics based power conditioning devices makes an approach to reduce the power quality problems in the system. The STATCOM is one of the methodologies to compensate the reactive power needed for the system. This paper presents a new coordinated voltage control scheme using ANFIS based STATCOM and ULTC transformer along with a three phase harmonic filter to mitigate the harmonics in the system. Different types of faults applied on the system to analyses the performance of proposed filter. Abstract

The wind power generation, utilization and its integration with electrical grid are increasing worldwide. The generated wind power is always changing due to its time varying nature and producing stability problem.
