The vulnerability index was subjected to spatial regression and the vulnerability index was found to be lacking in significance at this stage of the pandemic. Abstract
Vulnerability to disasters is a well-researched area. However, a major disaster in the form of a pandemic occurs once in a century. The models made for disaster preparedness are untested for such a calamity. The publication of a vulnerability index for the states in India proclaimed that the same can be applicable to COVID-19 too.
