Globalisation and Public Administration: A Study of the Term 'Globalisation', Its Nature, Meaning, Characteristics and Impact on Public Administration

Abstract

The present study discusses globalisation and its implications for public administration. An analysis is made of the different meanings and perspectives of globalisation, of the causes and consequences of globalisation, and of the underpinnings or constitutive elements of globalisation, a phenomenon that is all-embracing with transworld and far-reaching implications for society, governance, and public administration. Characteristics, nature and existence of globalisation are discussed, including the positive and negative impact of globalisation. Then a much detailed study is done on the relationship between globalisation and public administration system highlighting its impact on society and public administration.
