A Study on Intrusion Detection Based on Data Mining

Abstract

-This paper, in view of the problems in traditional intrusion detection systems, proposes data mining techniques be applied to intrusion detection system. The commonly used data mining algorithms are discussed; then a data mining-based intrusion detection system model is constructed, the architecture and main functions of which are described as well.
