Abstract

In this paper we present the description and the experimental characterization of a system for chemical recognition made up of sensors, first conditioning electronics and DSP-based processing electronics. A test apparatus is built to manage gravimetric sensor arrays and a suitable neural network is applied to their outputs. Classification results are available on a Web server that has been embedded in the DSP electronics. Finally, to show system capability, an experiment with three different vapors is carried out.
