Abstract

This paper considers case of parameter estimation in Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) fuel cell system, employing a simple observer. Many papers in literature are dealt with modeling, parameter identification and fault detection. But, uniqueness of these approach leys in using a simple algorithm generated based on observer. Improved state space averaged model of PEM fuel cell is considered for analysis. Effectiveness of proposed approach is shown through simulations in MATLAB/Simulink.
