Performance Assessment of Ksourian Models: An Algerian case study

Abstract

This research focuses on Ksourian models of Algerian country. The proposal work is to check and evaluate thermal performance of old technique, which are derived from the Ksourian model, using simulation tools. The adopted assessment method foresees the following steps: An inventory of Ksourian models in Algeria. Selecting typologies of the southwest area for making an exhaustive study on these typologies. Comparison of selected typologies "Ksourian models" to currently building. Reported research could contribute to make an assessment card mapping of Ksourian models in Algeria, which facilitates proposals improvement to this building type and participate to preserve this cultural heritage.
