В. В. Загладин и И. Т. Фролов: Уникальный тандем советской глобалистики

Abstract

The presented work is a kind of mix (synthesis) of the scientific and organizational components of the activities of the ‘Global Problems’ section of the Scientific Council under the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Sciences on the complex problem ‘Philosophical and social problems of science and technology’, and the author's personal impressions of cooperation with its leaders – Vadim Valentinovich Zagladin (1927–2006) and Ivan Timofeevich Frolov (1929–1999). It is with their names that the emergence in the early 1980s is connected and the subsequent constructive dynamism of Marxist studies in the field of global problems, partially curtailed with the collapse of the Soviet Union, and revived at the turn of the 20th–21st centuries in the form of the phenomenon of global processes.
