Abstract

The article is devoted to the consideration of the effectiveness of the development of the methodological competence of a foreign language teacher through a business game. The scientific novelty consists in substantiating the need to integrate theoretical knowledge and practical experience of trainees within the framework of primary professional activity. The practical significance of the study is presented in the description of the technology of the business game, the role of the teacher and students. The effectiveness of the use of the business game as a means of professional development is confirmed by the analysis of the results of the study, which testify to the better formation of methodological competence among the students of the control group, the development of the ability for objective analysis and introspection of professional activity.
