Traduzir o (in)traduzível idioma de Hélène Cixous / Traslate the (un-)translatable language of Hélène Cixous

Abstract

Resumo: Este artigo apresenta a singularidade do idioma literário da escritora franco-argelina Hélène Cixous a partir da intraduzibilidade de três palavras que estruturam a sua obra, são elas: Ève, Événement e rêve. Ao aceitar a intraduzibilidade do texto cixousiano, o tradutor brasileiro, de modo ético, proporcionará ao leitor de sua tradução um contato mais íntimo com o espaço literário criado por Cixous – um espaço único, em que acontecimentos e sonhos são dados à luz por meio da letra de Ève, mãe-personagem da escritora. Nessa perspectiva, conclui-se, então, que a intraduzibilidade em Cixous não é perda ou fracasso, mas ganho e produção de sentidos.Palavras-chave: Hélène Cixous; Intraduzibilidade; Ève; Événement; rêve.Abstract: This article presents the singularity of the literary language of the Franco-Algerian writer Hélène Cixous from the untranslability of three words that are the basis of her works: Ève, Événement and rêve. By accepting the untranslability of Cixous’s text, the Brazilian translator, in an ethical way, provides a more intimate contact with the literary space created by the author – a unique space, in which events and dreams are born through Ève’s letter, the writer’s mother-character. From this perspective, it is possible to conclude that untranslability in Cixous has nothing to do with loss or failure, but with an advantage and the production of meanings.Keywords: Hélène Cixous; Untranslability; Ève; Événement; rêve.
