Abstract
AbstractTwo dimensional (2D) nanomaterials brought an advancement in material world with respect to its excellent and unique properties. Recently the modification to form polymer nanocomposites by using 2D nanomaterials for many applications have grabbed attention of researchers. Among many 2D nanomaterials, MXenes is an excellent and fastest growing nanomaterial which is certainly a combination of transition metal carbides, nitrides and carbonitrides. Because of its excellent intrinsic properties, electrical conductivity, flexible and lightweight property and easy processability, MXene have attracted an attention of researchers. Polymer with the insertion of MXens, forms the polymer nanocomposites with enhanced and improved thermal, mechanical, electrical and morphological properties. The focus of this article is to bring the recent literature persistent to the general fabrication of MXene polymer System which includes different etching process. The present review report also provides the broad literature and recent research works to understand different synthesis approaches, structure and properties of MXene based polymer nanocomposites for electromagnetic interface (EMI) shielding applications including intrinsic and modified extrinsic properties. This review will be extensively helpful for the researchers to understand the basic properties and usage of MXene based polymer nanocomposites for EMI Shielding applications. The results of these review articles will serve as a storage for knowledge, facilitating the growth of research and advancement in the field of electromagnetic interface (EMI) shielding applications. Keywords: Multifunctional compositesNanocompositesEMI shieldingLayered structures Disclosure statementNo potential conflict of interest was reported by the authors.
