Abstract
The article discusses the requirements of the Federal State Education Standard of the Basic General Education in terms of the formation of functional literacy of students. The concept of mathematical literacy as a component of functional literacy of students is presented. Special attention is paid to the problem of constructing mathematical literacy problems. A case of tasks for the formation of mathematical literacy for 9th grade students based on the results of the PISA study is proposed.
