This article constructs an evaluation index system for the development level of the digital economy from three dimensions: digital infrastructure construction, digital application development, and digital industrialization development. The vertical and horizontal leveling method was used to measure the level of digital economy development in 33 provinces and cities in China from 2013 to 2021. Analyze the influencing factors of China's digital economy development level using the spatiotemporal geographic weighted regression (GTWR) model. The results indicate that the development level of digital economy in various provinces and cities in China is uneven, showing obvious spatial agglomeration characteristics in the east, with a pattern of high in the east and low in the west. The penetration rate of mobile internet and the proportion of software business revenue to GDP have the greatest impact on the development level index of the digital economy.
