The modern park of domestic software in this area was also analyzed. It was found, that the existing domestic Clinical Decision Support Systems do not fully meet the formulated current radiation safety requirements. The majority of clinical decision support system do not offer a choice of the most sparing methods of X-ray examinations (only 31% offer), and do not contain information about the accumulated patient dose for making a decision on the appointment of studies (only 23% contain). Abstract

There is a well-established opinion that the radiation safety of the patient and staff lies within the scope of the activities and responsibilities of the radiation diagnostics departments. However, repeated referrals and unjustified X-ray examinations from clinicians can make a significant contribution to the radiation load of the patient and the workload of the staff.
