Sugarcane production plays a significant role in the Indian economy. It provides the raw material for sugar and industries producing alcohol, paper, chemicals and cattle feed. India is one of the largest producers of sugarcane in the world and one of the leading countries for the export of sugarcane. An ex post facto study was conducted in Bodla block of Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh covering 314 villages and 111 selected sugarcane growers who were interviewed personally with the help structured interview schedule. It was found that majority (63.96%) of the respondents belonged to moderate scientific orientation category.
