Abstract

In this paper, the impact of the intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) on the propagation characteristics is analyzed from the arguments of the physical and electromagnetic characteristics of the channel. Analytical expressions for free-space pathloss are derived based on the terahertz multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel model in different communication scenarios.
