Abstract
A species new to science, Xyroptilia sumatrana Ustjuzhanin & Kovtunovich, is described from Sumatra. Two species, Platyptilia farfarella Zeller, 1867 and Stangeia siceliota (Zeller, 1847), are for the first time reported for the fauna of this island. The list of all the currently known plume moths species from Sumatra is provided.
