In this article we present the discussion of political-textual analysis results that was conducted on "History of the Conquest of Central Asia" and "Russian and Great Britain in Central Asia" by M.A. Terentiev. Particular attention is paid to how the author of this three-volume body of work describing the process of integrating new Asian territories into Russia deliberated on such topics as Russian state structure and its stability in a historical context.
