In vitro permeation tests by Franz Diffusion Cell showed better result for emulgels Carrageenan than HPMC. Abstract

Carrageenan as one of marine biota products is widely used in various industries such as food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, printing, and textile. Application and use of carrageenan in the manufacture of gels and other gel products is still very limited especially for cosmeceutical products.
