Abstract

Based on the new archival sources introduced into scientific circulation, the article examines the history of the formation, construction, and development of the Zagustaisky datsan. The author reveals the history of the construction of both the main cathedral church and auxiliary premises of the monastery complex. The above reliable documents, testimonies, information left by the outstanding orientalist A.M. Pozdneev, allow us to shed light on the history of construction, staffing and monastic everyday life of the temple under study.
