Anemia sering terjadi pada remaja yang dapat dipengaruhi oleh pola makan. Pola makan merupakan cara memperoleh makanan (berapa kali dalam satu hari), jenis makanan, dan frekuensi makan. Pola makan tidak sesuai dapat mengakibatkan asupan gizi (makronutrien dan mikronutrien) yang berlebih atau berkurang. Selain pola makan, IMT juga memengaruhi kejadian anemia. IMT merupakan pengukuran dalam pemantauan status gizi yang sederhana. Untuk mengetahui hubungan pola makan dan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) dengan kejadian anemia pada mahasiswa/i angkatan 2019 Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. Pendekatan cross-sectional, data diambil satu kali pada waktu yang sama. Pengambilan data menggunakan data primer berupa kuesioner, antropometri, dan pengecekan kadar Hb. Uji T independent untuk pola makan dengan anemia diperoleh hasil P<0.05. Sedangkan, hipotesis uji spearman untuk IMT dengan anemia diperoleh hasil P>0.05, Terdapat hubungan pola makan dengan kejadian anemia pada mahasiswa/i dan tidak terdapat hubungan IMT dengan kejadian anemia pada mahasiswa/i. Anemia often occurs in adolescents which can be influenced by diet. Diet is a way of obtaining food (how many times a day), the type of food, and the frequency of eating. Inappropriate eating patterns can result in excessive or reduced intake of nutrients (macronutrients and micronutrients). In addition to diet, BMI also affects the incidence of anemia. BMI is a measurement in monitoring simple nutritional status. To find out the relationship between diet and body mass index (BMI) with the incidence of anemia in class 2019 students at the Faculty of Medicine, Muhammadiyah University, North Sumatra. Cross-sectional approach, data is taken once at the same time. Data collection used primary data in the form of questionnaires, anthropometry, and checking Hb levels. Independent T-test for eating patterns with anemia obtained P <0.05.
